In this design the story of “My fair Lady” takes place in a factual, cool room,dominated by modern architecture. In the opinion of Arinth Foekema, the coloryellow stands for happiness and strength. It’s a bright color and she connects that color with the main character; Eliza Doolittle. The stronger herpersonality becomes, the more yellow is visible in the set design. In the beginning, she is poor and she cannot make her dreams come true. But when shegets the chance to learn to speak like a lady, she starts fighting for a betterlife. Her personality gets stronger and the world around her gets more yellow in every scene.
