BIB will be staged on a regular basis every two years, in a hope to grow and to attract a wide scope of participating schools from across the world.

2014 BIB will set up several Awards for outstanding works presented by the students (details’ coming soon); an international jury will decide the winners.

All schools directly represented by OISTAT Education, schools recommended by OISTAT Education members to represent their country, and schools that have applied to become an associate member of OISTAT Education will be invited to submit examples of student projects in the areas of scenography, set, costume, lighting design, and sound design as well as in the fields of theatre technology, scenic painting, make-up etc.

The Central Academy of Drama (the Hosts) will invite two representatives (one educator and one student) from each participating school to visit Beijing during the exhibition and workshop. Accommodation costs for 5 days (10th – 14th October 2014) will be covered by the hosts. The travel expenses will be the responsibility of the guests.

There is a limit of 60 people from outside China (teachers and students) who can attend, as well as 30 Chinese colleagues and students.

In conjunction with the exhibit the organizers intend to create a parallel program of lectures, short workshops, portfolio review sessions and panel discussions with lecturers from OISTAT Education members and the participating schools.
