Important dates for 2012 ISDSWE participants:
August 31st
Please fill in the Registration Form and send to sdqstagedesign@163.com by August 31. We will send you Invitation letter for arranging your travel visa upon receiving your registration.
Each school is invited to submit between 9 and 30 images of students’ work with information for web and book named 2012 World Stage Design Students’ Works.
September 5th
This is the deadline for sending us your files for the gallery exhibition.
Exhibition Panels
Schools are invited to submit one to six exhibition panels with images and project descriptions. Detailed instructions about the panels’ formatting and resolution are published on www.isdswe.com. Please, send your exhibit files to sdqstagedesign@163.com by September 5th. Please, note that files resolution must be no less than 200 to 300 dpi, 1:1 scale, CMYK, TIFF or JPEG file format.
The exhibit will take place in the gallery of The National Centre for the Performing Arts. The Central Academy will take print the exhibition panels and mount them in the gallery space.
3D models, costumes and objects
Schools are encouraged to bring to Beijing some of the actual works - models, costumes and other 3D objects, to be displayed at the gallery exhibit. Please, send us by September 5th only information about the 3D models/costumes, that you intend to bring with you to Beijing.
Transportation of 3d objects and models to Beijing is your responsibility. On the morning of 25th you will be given time to arrange your 3D displays in the gallery. The Central Academy will provide you technical assistance and power source. The Central Academy of Drama will pack and ship the models back after the exhibition ends ( November 2nd). The return shipping will be at the expense of the Central Academy.
Please, prior to your trip, prepare the necessary customs documentation for the transportation of your 3D displays in order to avoid paying customs fees in China. (A certificate, that the goods are intended for an academic exhibit and not for sale. )
The Central Academy would like to retain some of the 3D models and objects for its art collection.
We hope to be able to purchase some of the models to display in our stage design department. If you are agreeable we could offer between €40-70 depending on the size of the model and materials used. The author of the work will also receive a certificate of commemoration from the Central Academy of Drama.
Please provide the following information for each project together with the exhibition files by September 5th.
